Have you ever heard the saying, "You get what you pay for?" Well, unfortunately many of us have. Usually this is something that's heard after a "trial and error" experience. There's another famous saying that goes, "If it seems too good to be true, then it usually is." In this modern society, everyone is in business for some kind of a profit. Nothing in life is truly free. Everything comes with some sort of price or sacrifice. It is true that money motivates.

Many have found that it doesn't pay to be cheap. Sadly, many find this out the hard way. For example, there have been instances of wedding nightmares due to unprofessional catering. Or how about the newlyweds who discover as they're going through their wedding photos, that the photographer hired for their special day was neither professional or skilled as they had previously thought? Yes, these are just some of then instances of where being cheap turned out to be not only the price, but as well the service.

This brings me to the point of never hiring a cheap limo service. Personal experience teaches us all. I for one can give a personal example of bad limo service, as a result of hiring a cheap limo company. On my wedding day, yes my special day, the limo driver was late. My then fiance (now husband) had a friend who worked for a limo service. This friend offered my husband to chauffeur us for a small price. Therefore, my husband hired him for our wedding day. It would have just been a better idea to hire an unknown company, and pay a "pretty penny". Why do I say this? Well, for a number of reasons. One, as I mentioned earlier, he showed up late-about 45 minutes to be exact. Secondly, the limo interior and exterior was not up to par, meaning that cleanliness and appearance was obviously not their strong point! Lastly, there were no amenities or refreshments. Going back to the fact that he was late due to not knowing where I lived was just pathetic! GPS/Navigation equipment is a very common accessory, and many companies invest in this. That was very unimpressive. The fact that the limo was not clean on the inside or outside only made things worse. Here I am in my white wedding dress, risking the chance of getting it smudged or soiled. Fortunately I was careful and able to prevent that from happening! Last but not least, limo services are supposed to spoil their clients-why the heck was there no refreshments??! Ya know, a lady on her way to get married could use a glass of wine to help ease her nerves. Anyway, thankfully enough, despite the bad limo experience, it still was not enough to ruin my special day. However, for anyone planning a special event-whether it be a wedding, anniversary, prom, or just a night out on the town, I seriously urge you to invest in a reputable, highly-rated limo service. If you do, you will get your money's worth.

With that being said, it is truly a fact that you get what you pay for! Before hiring a limo service, shop around. If you happen to find a limo service who offers unusually low fares, in comparison to all the other companies out there, chances are that the service too will be low grade. Bottom line, the U.S. economy is in bad shape, but if you want great memories of milestones in your life, then invest. If you're going to be hiring a limo service, open your wallet!
